When I was coming into my teens, one of my closest friends took me down to a small backwoods stream behind the town of Arnold Ca, where I was raised by my Mother and Father along with my two older brothers.

I had begged him to take me fly fishing since his father was a guide and owned a local fly shop and we had always done a lot of Bass fishing on our local lake together. That morning he handed me a rod, twice the length I was used to, and tied on a fly that my clients and I still use today, a Stimulator. From there, you could say, I grabbed that fly and ran with it.

Still competing at a high level in free skiing, Mammoth Lakes Ca offered the best opportunity for world-class skiing and fly fishing. My wife and I moved to Mammoth in the summer of 1999. In 2002 I was hired at The Trout Fly/Fitter and attended Clearwater Lodge Guide School. I started guiding for the Shop that summer and begin building a loyal clientele. Working my way up through the ranks, while “paying my dues”, along with the other 13 guides; I finally reached the status of Head Guide at the shop.

Over the past eight seasons, I have been very busy trying to provide the best product for my clientele. I have a very well-rounded personality. I have traveled all over the world in the pursuit of hard pulling fish and beautiful surroundings. I have competed at the highest level of Fly Casting competion and take my guiding very seriously, this is my job.

My guiding career has taken me many different locations, Like guiding in Alaska for Arctic Char, Salmon and big wild Rainbows. To the Bahamas where I’ve hosted Bonefish trips on the flats for my clients. To all over the state of California and Nevada where I’m Permitted, licensed, bonded and insured on all waters that I guide. Most of the year, I’m guiding the Waters of the Eastern sierra, from the Lower Owens to the East Walker all the way through Nevada. I also work closely with the prestigious Clearwater Lodge, in Northern California where I host and guide clients that are looking for a change from our local waters in Mammoth. In the fall and winter months October through January, I live on and guide Steelhead everyday on the Trinity River out of my drift boat.

My mission is to offer a great outdoor experience at the highest level of professionalism, provide you with newfound knowledge and create memories of a lifetime.
