Hi everyone, this is Ty with another E.S.G.A. post. We have all been getting some spring cleaning and boat preparations done for the rest of the season to come.
East Walker is consistent with high flows and the fish are filling up on a variety of food. The last post is still valid, but the caddis are really beginning to show, so larger olive patterns and smaller tan patterns are a good way to go.
Hot Creek is definitely “cloudy ice tea”, but fishing flashy, larger patterns than normal can be a great way to go. Concentrate on the major depressions that have room for lots of trout, you’d be suprised at how many will be in one spot. Same bugs apply, but as before, the caddis are are showing in numbers. Evenings are now warmer and a great fishing option.
Brad and I will be on the East Walker Monday and Tues. Guiding our good friends Steve, Greg and Jeff Wold, and some friends of theirs. Always a good time with those boys, check back for details.
I’m waiting for some throttle parts for my boat. Should be up and floating by June 1st. Bridgeport resevoir is looking to have a banner year again. I’ll probably be spending most of the month of June at Bridgeport Res. and the east walker also guiding for Jim Reed at Ken’s Sporting Goods in Bridgeport. Stay tuned for all that.
Good Times and Good Fishing!
